Braunstone Town Youth Council Survey Results - April 2008

The Youth Council have recently completed a Survey of young peoples views. The responses will be analysed at the next meeting. 19 young people also expressed an interest in becoming Youth Council Members. The Youth Council has therefore decided to arrange an OPEN MEETING on 20th MAY for all interested parties.

If yes, what? The most popularly attended activities were Youth Clubs/Girls Group, Music/Dance, Football and Swimming

Do you think there are enough Clubs? YES 59 NO 83

If not, what activities are needed? In order of preference the activities were Crafts, Dance, Arts, Sports, Music, Youth Club, Basketball, Football.

Are you confident talking to young people about problems in Braunstone Town YES 94 NO 73

Do you want to improve your Community? YES 111 NO 49

Young people suggested a range of improvements from less litter to providing more entertainment and easier access to clubs, etc. The Youth Council looks forward to working with the Town Council in helping to progress some of these issues.
