Plans & Environment Committee Meetings

The Council's Plans & Environment Committee has delegated powers to make observations and comments on local planning applications that are received. The Committee meets on average every three weeks and submits its observations to Blaby District Council which then determines the applications.

The Plans & Environment Committee comments on various other matters, eg, traffic orders, Local and County Structure Plans and Air Quality issues.

The Agendas and Reports for the Plans & Environment Committee can be seen under the Meetings Calendar Page. The observations on Planning Applications made at the meeting or under Delegated Powers can be downloaded below.

Public Participation at Meetings

Braunstone Town Council and Blaby District Council have introduced procedures to enable applicants, objectors and supporters to speak on applications brought before their relevant Committees.

If you have any comments to make about a planning application, please look for the date of the next scheduled Plans & Environment Committee Meeting using the Meetings Calendar Page on this Website for a copy of the Agenda. A notice is also posted on the Council's Notice Board a week prior to the meeting.

You will be welcomed at the Plans & Environment Committee meeting and invited to make your comments at the relevant time during the meeting.
