Funding for Young People's ProjectsCommunity Action Fund for YouthCAFFY Braunstone Town Youth FundIn 2003/2004, Councillor Mr P Reyat, chose to raise funds for towards a Braunstone Town Youth Fund during his term in office as Town Mayor. The aim of the fund is to encourage young people in Braunstone Town to try new activities that are not normally available to them or to assist them in a project. He was successful in raising a total of £9,072.87. If you are involved in a youth group or activity and have a project in mind that would benefit from funding, please write to the Executive Officer and Town Clerk at the Town Council's offices, giving details of the project, how much funding you are applying for and how many young people would benefit from the project. Projects that have been successful in obtaining monies from the fund are:- 4th Leicester Scout Group - £800 towards a trip to London and overnight stay on HMS Belfast Braunstone Town Youth Council – £400 towards a Performing Arts Project 3rd Braunstone Town Guides - £1,500 towards camping equipment Millfield Primary School - £300 developing and planting a pond Millfield Primary School - £300 towards development of allotment Ravenhurst Primary School - £150 towards swimming equipment Kingsway Primary School - £300 - Gardening Project Braunstone Town FC - £300 towards transporting the team to an Easter Festival of Football at Minehead Braunstone Town Youth CouncilThe Youth Council have a budget and can make grants to local young peoples organisations - For further details please contact Mrs P Hurd - 0116 2890045 |
