Diary of the Building of the Thorpe Astley Community Centre

Sod Cutting Ceremony - 4th December 2009

Local children from Kingsway County Primary School joined with leaders of Blaby District Council and Braunstone Town Council, together with the local MP Mr Andrew Robathan and representatives from the Thorpe Astley Community Association to celebrate the start of the new Community Centre.

Councillor Phil Fox, Chair of Braunstone Town Council's Community Development Committee reaffirmed the Council's committment to continue working with its partners to get the centre up and running. He hoped it would provide a wide range of services and activities that would bring people together and strengthen the community here in Thorpe Astley and Braunstone Town.
