Braunstone "Town Watchers"Join a Neighbourhood Watch Group today Email: ianlaughton@braunstonetowncouncil.org.uk BRAUNSTONE "TOWN WATCHERS" is a support group for Neighbourhood Watch Street Schemes in Braunstone Town. OBJECTIVES: * To offer support, help, information and advice in order to maintain ACTIVE, & EFFECTIVE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH Street Schemes in Braunstone Town * To work alongside the Police in helping deter criminal activitiy * To assist in the production of Street Scheme Newsletters and Information Sheets for all Scheme members * To help the Town Council organise activities such as Exhibitions, Open Days and Youth involvment connected with Neighbourbourhood Watch MEMBERSHIP: * All registered Street Scheme Co-ordinators and their Contact Persons MEETINGS: * These are held quarterly in February, May, August and November at Braunstone Civic Centre WHAT HAPPENS AT THE MEETINGS? * Meetings start with official Neighbourhood Watch business followed by input by the local Police (L.P.U.) and the Community Unit * An opportunity is given to all Street Scheme representatives to voice their opinions on local policing matters. Questions and answers can either be discussed at the meeting or the matter passed to the appropriate oganisation on behalf of the residents * Whenever possible a guest speaker is invited to attend to give a short talk or presentation on a Neighbourhood Watch, Police or community safety issue.
