Annual Front Garden Competition

BRAUNSTONE TOWN IN BLOOM 2008!

The Town Council’s annual Front Garden Competition was judged on Friday 18th July. This year we received 9 entries to the competition. Several judges including Braunstone Town Mayor, Mrs Sharleen Thurman, and local residents viewed the nominated gardens and were pleased to announce the following winners

1st Prize – Mrs H Catterwell of Braunstone Lane
2nd Prize – Mr & Mrs Twigg of Avon Road
Joint 3rd Prize – Mr G Reynolds of Millfield Crescent
Joint 3rd – Mrs R Hendley of Ashurst Road

All winners have been invited to attend the next meeting of the full Council to be held on Thursday 18th September to receive their prizes.

On 18th September the winners and runners up of the Front Garden Competition were invited to the meeting of the Town Council to receive their awards from the Town Mayor.

1st Prize Winner - Mrs H Catterwell

2nd Prize Winner - Mr Twigg of Avon Road

3rd Prize Winner - Mr Reynolds of Millfield Crescent
