A Diary of Flaura and FaunaMid June 2008It's only the first summer since the clearance works have taken place at the new Franklin Park site and already there is an abundance of wildflowers. Ox-eye daisies, Rose Bay Willow Herb, several species of wild poppies, buttercups, varieties of thistles, poached egg plant, white poppies, Love in the Mist, yellow rattle, foxgloves, scarlet pimpernell, speedwell, stitchwort, peonies, wild lupins, Teasel, Wood avens, Dock and a variety of grasses, have been identified. There is also an increases in species of butterfly at the site including a Speckledwood and foxes are now making a home there.
